Briggs & Associates matches the abilities of people with disabilities to real jobs, then provides the support and training needed to ensure success for both the employee and employer. We provide comprehensive employment services for any individual who may require non-traditional support and/or entry into the workplace.
There is no cost to employers for our services. Our funding is from state, local, non-profit and private groups. The return on public expenditures for supported employment services is substantially greater than those achieved by other programs.
There are five simple steps for a persons' successful placement in a job position. These include identifying skills and interest, analyzing the job site, training and ongoing support for both the employee and employer.
Supported Employment comes with some misguided myths about working with non-traditional employees. Some of these concerns include insurance rates, accidents, injuries, and productivity. Click the button below to get the truth about these concerns.

Briggs & Associates has been named the inaugural 2021 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Impact Award winner during BBB’s Metro Atlanta, Athens & NE Georgia Annual Meeting & Awards Gala held on Oct. 21 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Impact Award is a new annual awards program that publicly recognizes organizations that have made significant contributions in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Impact Award is designed to promote the importance of eliminating inequalities in the marketplace and the willingness and efforts made by outstanding organizations to help contribute to an inclusive marketplace. The award embodies BBB’s mission of celebrating marketplace role models.
2019 Diversity and Inclusion Awards honors the leaders and revolutionaries who are embracing equality across all areas of diversity. This includes age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion.
Briggs & Associates has been selected as an honoree for the Outstanding Voice Award. This award honors an outstanding individual, ally or advocate in the metro Atlanta area who is making a difference in advancing equality in the business community.
Founded in 1989, Briggs & Associates operates on the philosophy that “anyone who has the desire, has the ability to be successful in the workplace.” The company initially provided support to a few individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and later expanded to include services for people with mental health diagnoses. The focus has always been one person at-a-time, even throughout a period of tremendous growth. Over the course of thirty years, Briggs & Associates has developed and supported careers for over 8,000 people throughout Georgia. The true impact of this approach is immeasurable, as “building one successful life strengthens a whole community.”
Briggs & Associates is now one of the largest supported employment agencies in the world, with expertise in developing positions in a wide variety of industries. The design is a win for individuals served and business leaders alike, as Briggs & Associates identifies need, helps with teaching tasks, and provides ongoing support to ensure long-term success. Briggs & Associates demonstrates that strengthening the workforce through diversity is “Just Good Business” and truly impacts an employer’s bottom-line.
The Council on Quality and Leadership in Supports for People with Disabilities’ Board of Directors selected Briggs & Associates for the Award of Excellence for demonstrating excellence, innovation and emerging practices in achieving outcomes in the support of people with disabilities.
Briggs & Associates was honored with the International Marc Gold Award for Employment by TASH, an international leader in disability advocacy. TASH advocates for human rights and inclusion for people with significant disabilities and support needs. TASH works to advance inclusive communities.
